The Subaru Global Platform is a design and manufacturing methodology. It doesn't mean that every vehicle produced with it shares all the same parts. The Ascent is considerably larger than other Subaru models and has different weight and other requirements. Things get scaled up and down to accommodate that. There are some parts that are the same when they can be for economy of scale, of course, but many of them are more mundane things.

It looks possible but unlikely based on the many differences in suspension components between the two vehicles. The Outback bar at least has a different contour than the Ascent bar, just from looking at the diagram without dimensions to compare. I think a slightly stiffer rear bar on the Ascent would be a welcome upgrade for some, and that Outback group buy price is very intriguing. Perhaps you could reach out to Whiteline to ask if they have reviewed other possible fitments / Ascent compatibility?

Agree, but on previous models parts were interchangeable between wrx and Forester platform. Only way will know by test fitting.

Part number looks the same , only thing is the way how sway bar mounted. Outback sway bar bracket mounted vertical and Ascent is mounted on the bottom. I guess we will wait and see when the product is actually out.

The part numbers are not the same. The Subaru parts diagrams don't do a great job of showing the entire part number, only the initial numbers...generally all Subaru rear sway bars regardless of vehicle have 20451 as the first 5 numbers of the part number now.
The Ascent rear bar is 20451XC00A, while the Outback is 20451AN01A (Outback Wilderness is also different - 20451AN020).
The Ascent and Outback bars are $50 or less, so that would be the easiest way to determine compatability between the two. The OB Wilderness bar is $172.19, so it may be worth looking into if they are cross-compatible as it is likely stiffer.
Also, oddly enough, it seems like the Subaru Global Platform cars tend to have more part differences between models than the older platforms. The Forester / Impreza / WRX platform was pretty much lego part interchangeability from similar model years for a long time. The Ascent especially seems to have some differences due to its larger size and capability that prohibits such easy parts sharing with the smaller models.

Those are both smaller vehicles with different weight factors as compared to the Ascent.
